Quick and Easy Flower Finger Pincushions!
This idea for a finger pincushion just came to me as I pulled the tab off a 1/2 gallon of milk! Talk about an "Aha" moment! You will love making these little cuties, and they are so fun and useful. They can fit just about any fingers, and because of the solid plastic base, you won't poke your finger.
Grab some pretty 1-1/2 " to 2 " little silk flowers
Some pull tabs of 1/2 gallons of milk
Snip off the stem and plastic with wire cutters, as close to the back of the flower as you can get.
You are only using the petals, toss the rest aside.
Using a glue gun, glue petals to base part of tab.
Make 1-1/2" circles from scraps of fabric for flower centers. Using a needle and thread make a running stitch around outer edge of circle.
Pull up a bit and stuff a small amount of stuffing into circle and pull and stuff to get a nice firm center. A pencil eraser works well for this!
Pull all the way together and secure, clip thread.
Put a dab of hot glue in the center of the petals and firmly press stuffed little centers in place.
Here are a few completed finger pincushions ready for sewing!
